This Privacy Policy explains how HelpingHandAI (“HelpingHandAI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you visit https://helpinghandai.in (the “Site”). The Site publishes practical guides, reviews, and resources about artificial intelligence for small businesses and independent founders. This policy applies to everyone who visits the Site, leaves comments, or registers an account.
We have written this policy in plain language on purpose. You should be able to read it in a few minutes and understand three things: what data we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please stop using the Site.
We use the information we collect to operate, secure, and improve the Site. That means publishing and moderating comments, preventing spam and abuse, keeping accounts safe, and understanding which articles help readers most. We do not use your information for anything this policy does not describe.
2. Information we collect
We collect two broad categories of information: details you choose to give us, and technical details collected automatically when you browse. The subsections below describe both, along with the features that use them.
Information you give us
You only share personal information with us when you choose to interact with the Site. Depending on what you do, that may include:
- Comment details. The name, email address, optional website URL, and message you type into the comments form.
- Account details. If you register on the Site, your username, email address, and a password, which we store only in hashed, unreadable form.
- Messages. Anything you send us through a contact form or by email.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers and anti-spam tools record technical data when you visit: your IP address, your browser type and user agent string, the pages you view, the time of your visit, and the page that referred you. We use this information for security, spam prevention, and basic traffic statistics. On its own, this data does not tell us who you are, but it can identify your device or network.
Location data in images
If you upload images to the Site, be aware that photos often carry embedded location data (EXIF GPS) captured by phones and cameras. Visitors to the website can download images and extract any location data stored in them. Please avoid uploading images that reveal your home address, your workplace, or any other location you would rather keep private.
3. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This extra information helps an automated spam detection service decide whether a comment is genuine, which keeps the comments section useful for everyone.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.
4. Cookies

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so may affect your convenience: for example, you may need to sign in again on every visit or retype your comment details each time.
5. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this Site may include embedded content, such as videos, images, tweets, or articles from other platforms. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. We do not control those third-party websites, so we recommend reading their privacy policies before you interact with embedded content.
6. Who we share your data with
We keep your personal data to ourselves in almost every case. We share it only in the situations listed below, and only to the extent needed for each purpose.
- Password resets. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
- Spam detection. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
- Gravatar. The hash of your comment email may be checked against the Gravatar service, as described in Section 3.
- Service providers. The companies that host the Site and provide its essential infrastructure may process limited technical data on our behalf so the Site stays online and secure.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own purposes.
7. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is deliberate: it lets us recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue each time you write.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
8. Your rights over your data
If you have an account on this Site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights over your data. The three subsections below cover the regions most of our readers come from.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, erase your data, restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)
If you are located in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, request correction or erasure, and nominate another individual to exercise your rights if you are unable to do so yourself. You can raise a grievance with us first, and take it to the Data Protection Board of India if it is not resolved.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in practice, but you may exercise your other rights at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may ask a verifying question before acting on a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, and comment email hashes may be checked against the Gravatar service. These services may process your data outside your home country, including in the United States.
Where information crosses borders, we rely on the safeguards required under applicable data protection laws. If you have questions about international transfers, contact us and we will explain what applies to your data.
10. How we protect your data
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Site and the data it holds. The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to administrative accounts is restricted, and the software behind the Site is kept up to date with security patches.
That said, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your data seriously and review our practices regularly. If a data breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
11. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data through the Site, contact us and we will delete it promptly. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian for permission before using the Site or leaving comments.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add a new feature that changes how data is handled. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version. For significant changes, we may also add a notice on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
